Nuface device

Seen the hype around the NuFace Trinity facial toning device but not sure if it’s worth your money? I‘ve had one for 3 years now and here’s my honest review, its benefits, how best to use it and some techniques and a routine to follow.

With the promise of a non-invasive facelift, it's easy to see why it's a hot topic.

Beloved by Hollywood A-listers and skincare aficionados alike, NuFace's popularity is the science of microcurrent technology, harnessed to rejuvenate and tone the facial muscles.

So, what's the deal with this nifty device, and more importantly, is it worth your hard-earned cash instead of spending on more skincare products!

What is NuFace?

NuFace devices utilize microcurrent technology - think of it as a fitness routine for your face - which sends gentle, low-level currents that tone and lift the skin. It's like having a personal facial toning device right at your fingertips aiming to achieve a youthful appearance.

Now, if you're thinking firmer, tighter, and more youthful-looking skin.

If you're thinking about price points, the NuFace Mini brings a sparkle to your eye. This mini tool ranges between $160-$250, offering similar oomph to its full-sized counterpart without breaking the bank.

This is a great option but before we go further I would already recommend going for the original NuFace device (the Trinity) if you’re going to invest that kind of money anyway as I think its worth it in the results!

Nuface before and after

Overview of NuFace and its benefits

Clinical studies back the brand's promise to aid in the reduction of those pesky nasolabial folds (laugh lines), firming up sagging skin, and decreasing the appearance of wrinkles to reveal that youthful look we all adore.

NuFace is often touted as the perfect complement to in-office treatments, thanks to its Microcurrent Skincare magic. It gives instant visible results in facial contouring and lifting.

We're talking chiseled jawlines, honed cheekbones, and smoothed out lines – yes, please!

On top of toning and firming, you're also reaping benefits like the appearance of reduced wrinkles and better-defined facial features.

Users often report that their faces look more awake right after use, with more profound results building up over time. But is this actually true?

Benefits of NuFace:

  • Tones facial muscles
  • Lifts and contours the face
  • Reduces the appearance of wrinkles
  • Complements professional treatments

And let's not forget the lymphatic drainage and circulation perks—microcurrent technology is like a mini detox for your face.

My Review Of The NuFace Trinity Device

Ultimately I think it only works as good as you can commit to using it.

Having owned and used this device for many years, I've gone through stages of not picking it up and then started using it religiously again and unfortunately the results don't last when I've stopped it altogether.

However, the results I do get when I'm using - even just in maintenance - are totally worth the investment.

It gives me a lifted look which also helps my skin to look tighter and I love that change in appearance.

And as long as I'm using it a few times a week I continue to see results.

I do believe it will have long term effects on stimulating my skin that I wouldn't immediately see anyway. So for me I'm willing to put in the time in the hopes it'll boost the effects of my overall skincare routine down the line.

If you want to avoid invasive procedures and want to take your skincare regime to the next level then I think its worth the money.

But if you're likely to leave it in a drawer for weeks or even months on end then your money would probably be better spent with a dermatologist.

It really does give you that lift that people claim provided you follow a routine - I've popped one below! But of course its not going to be as strong as an actual brow lift!

How microcurrent devices work on facial muscles

These genius beauty devices re-educate and energize your facial muscles to impart a more lifted and sculpted look.

By emulating your body's natural ionic flow, they also accelerate muscle recovery and enhance muscle tone not just on your face but down to your neck as well.

Plus, with increased ATP cell energy, your collagen and elastin get a major boost, leading to that youthful, tighter, firmer skin we all yearning for.

Here's how it all goes down:

  • Stimulation of Facial Muscles: These devices send gentle, low-level currents that mimic your body's natural ionic flow. This stimulates muscle recovery and re-educates your facial muscles, which over time can get a little sluggish, to perk right up.
  • Improvement in Circulation & Muscle Tone: With the currents doing their dance under your skin, there's an uplift in circulation and an encouragement of muscle tone. The upshot? Your face begins to feel firmer, tighter, and sports more defined contours. Hello, high cheekbones!
  • Production Boost for Collagen & Elastin: Microcurrent treatments are like a personal trainer for your face. They not only tighten the muscles but also boost ATP (adenosine triphosphate) cell energy. This leads to increased production of collagen and elastin, the key players for a supple, resilient complexion.
  • Recovery & Skin Benefits: As these muscles are energized, any tissue damage is addressed, leading to a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Utilizing such devices in your daily routine, just for a few minutes per day with upward motions, can enhance muscle tone, combat nasolabial folds, and contribute to overall lymphatic drainage.

Just a little science, a few minutes, and voilà.

The Perfect NuFace Routine

Getting into a new beauty gadget, like the NuFace facial toning device, might seem daunting at first, but I promise it's as simple as incorporating a few extra minutes into your skincare regimen.

Think of it as your skin's new daily morning stretch, or that invigorating espresso shot for your complexion!

Starting your journey with NuFace is recommended at a pace of at least 5 minutes per day for 5 days a week, which is barely a blip in your busy schedule.

For the best results, commitment is key.

Consistent use, ideally 5-6 days a week, will keep your facial muscles trained and toned, leading to longer-lasting benefits.

How To Use The NuFace Device

  • Start with a clean slate by washing and drying your face thoroughly.
  • Smooth on NuFace's activating gel for optimal conductivity. Think of it like a primer for your face's workout.
  • Picture your face in sections – neck, cheeks, forehead.

  1. Eyebrows
    • Position: Place the spheres above the center of your brow.
    • Stroke: Glide towards your hairline at the temple. Repeat three times on each side.
  2. Cheek Area
    • Position: Place the spheres at the nasolabial fold (sides of your nose).
    • Stroke: Glide upwards toward the top of your ear. Perform three slow strokes on each side of the face.
  3. Jawline
    • Position: Place the spheres just above the jawline, near your chin.
    • Stroke: Glide upwards towards your ear. Repeat this three times on each side of the jawline.
  4. Neck
    • Position: Place the spheres at the base of your neck, near the center.
    • Stroke: Glide upwards towards your jawline. Perform three slow strokes on each side of the neck.

  • Count the beeps — Expect your device to vibrate and beep, just like an electric toothbrush, telling you when to move on.
  • Try to avoid your eyebrows and hairline otherwise you'll feel a tiny zap.

Remember, the activation gel isn't just a suggestion, it's a must. Without it you'll feel as though you're getting tine shocks. Nothing crazy but you'll know when you didn't apply enough in an area!

My tip is to only apply it in the section you're about to work on so it doesn't dry out.

Professional Treatments vs. At-Home Use

This innovative device sweeps in as a champion for those seeking a less invasive and more budget-friendly alternative to professional anti-aging treatments and microcurrent facials.

By incorporating NuFace into your daily routine—at the advised frequency of 5-6 times a week—you might find yourself skipping those frequent trips to the dermatologist for touch-ups.

Because let's face it, those professional treatments stack up in cost. And with a routine that only demands minutes per day, it's an investment that respects both your wallet and your clock and might turn out to be the perfect device for you.
